About the Role
Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing organization operating in the commercial vehicle / industrial products sector, with a strong reputation for quality, operational discipline, and continuous improvement. As part of ongoing growth and increasing supply chain complexity, they are adding a Senior Supply Chain Manager to their leadership team.
This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will play a critical role in shaping and executing the organization’s end-to-end supply chain strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening supplier relationships, improving inventory accuracy and material availability, and driving disciplined systems, controls, and processes across procurement, inventory, logistics, and production support.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will lead and develop a team, partner closely with production, engineering, finance, and quality, and act as a key voice in identifying risks, solving problems, and enabling scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the purchasing, inventory, and supply chain team with clear expectations, KPIs, and accountability
• Own supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance management, scorecards, and escalation processes
• Drive inventory accuracy, valuation control, and ERP data integrity across materials and finished goods
• Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules, forecasts, and new product introductions
• Maintain and continuously improve ERP planning parameters (lead times, order quantities, min/max levels, BOM accuracy)
• Identify and reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory
• Oversee inbound logistics, freight, and warehouse coordination to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery
• Prepare and present reporting related to supplier performance, inventory trends, shortages, and cost drivers
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to systems, processes, and cost optimization
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, or procurement within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, inventory controls, BOM structures, and planning disciplines
• Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing long-term vendor relationships
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel or data analysis capability
• Confident communicator who can collaborate effectively across production, engineering, finance, and leadership teams
• Hands-on leader with a “get things done right” mindset — balancing urgency, accuracy, and strategic thinking

Compensation Package
The organization offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation package, which is expected to include:
• Base salary range: $110,000 – $140,000 CAD, commensurate with experience
• Annual performance-based bonus

Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit.
