About the Role

We are conducting this search on behalf of our client, a respected manufacturer with a strong history of growth and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to play a strategic leadership role while remaining hands-on in driving operational excellence.

The Controller will be responsible for leading the full scope of financial management within the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight across all financial activities. This includes oversight of corporate accounting, cost accounting, inventory management, cash flow, and regulatory reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.

Beyond day-to-day operations, the Controller will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy — preparing budgets and forecasts, analyzing performance trends, and providing actionable insights that support both operational efficiency and long-term growth. A key mandate will be to enhance financial tools, processes, and reporting, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The position also involves close collaboration with senior leadership, acting as a trusted advisor on business decisions, capital investments, and growth initiatives. As a people leader, the Controller will mentor and develop a dedicated finance team, ensuring strong internal controls, adherence to policies, and the delivery of timely, value-added reporting that informs decision-making at every level of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including AR, AP, general ledger, inventory, and cost accounting
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP
• Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting
• Drive financial analysis to support strategic decisions and operational improvements
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to business planning and growth initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

• CPA designation with 7–10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership
• Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Proven ability to operate at a senior level while remaining hands-on with detail
• Skilled in ERP systems, financial modeling, and advanced Excel
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
