About the Role

This is a newly created leadership opportunity with a Tillsonburg-area manufacturer and distributor, supporting multiple industrial sectors across North America.

The Director, Sales & Marketing will be responsible for building and professionalizing the company’s commercial engine across both wholesale and manufacturing business lines. This is not a quota-carrying role—instead, the focus is on creating structure, discipline, and scalability across sales and marketing functions.

The organization is at an inflection point, transitioning from a relationship-driven model to a more structured, data-driven commercial approach. This role will lead that evolution—implementing repeatable sales processes, strengthening pricing and margin discipline, and ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and operations.

You will oversee both strategy and execution, leading a growing team while also working closely with leadership to translate business priorities into measurable commercial outcomes. This includes ownership of CRM infrastructure, forecasting, pipeline visibility, and the overall effectiveness of the sales function.

In parallel, you will guide marketing direction—managing an external agency relationship and ensuring marketing efforts are aligned to support pipeline development and revenue growth.

This is a high-impact role with clear runway for expanded leadership scope as the business continues to grow and evolve.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute the overall commercial strategy across wholesale and manufacturing segments
• Build scalable, repeatable sales processes that improve structure, accountability, and performance
• Establish and drive pricing strategy and margin discipline across all channels
• Develop and enhance CRM systems, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline visibility
• Lead and develop a team of 5+ sales and marketing professionals, with additional team evolution over time
• Create alignment between sales, marketing, operations, and logistics
• Implement KPIs, sales cadence, and accountability frameworks
• Oversee external marketing agency and ensure alignment with commercial priorities
• Drive lead generation, demand support, and marketing ROI measurement
• Contribute to P&L performance, linking commercial actions to profitability and growth

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in B2B commercial leadership, sales operations, or commercial strategy
• Background within manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environments
• Strong understanding of pricing, margin management, and P&L drivers
• Experience building or improving sales processes, CRM adoption, and commercial infrastructure
• Balanced exposure to both sales and marketing functions
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and evolve teams in a growing or transitioning environment
• Data-driven, systems-oriented, and comfortable leveraging analytics for decision-making
• Hands-on leader with a builder mentality—focused on creating, not maintaining
• Strong communication and alignment skills across all levels of an organization

Why Consider This Opportunity?

• Newly created role with the ability to build and shape the commercial function from the ground up
• Direct exposure to ownership and executive leadership
• Opportunity to drive meaningful impact on revenue, margin, and long-term growth
• Organization with strong market presence and diversified end markets
• Clear runway for career progression into broader leadership scope
• Collaborative, values-driven environment focused on continuous improvement

Vacancy

Newly created role as part of a broader succession and growth strategy, supporting the evolution from legacy commercial structures to a more scalable, process-driven model.

• Base Salary: $110,000 – $115,000
• Profit sharing participation (multiple programs tied to company performance)
• Group benefits plan and pooled RRSP
• Structured onboarding program with milestone-based incentives
• Ongoing leadership development and training
