About the Role
This is an exceptional leadership opportunity with a growing London-area manufacturer serving specialized industrial and engineered product markets across North America.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, Supply Chain Operations will provide both strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s end-to-end supply chain. This role is responsible for optimizing procurement, demand planning, inventory management, supplier performance, logistics, and supply chain risk management while ensuring operational excellence and supporting continued business growth.
The successful candidate will build upon an established foundation by strengthening systems, refining processes, and developing team capabilities to support an increasingly complex manufacturing environment. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales, the Director will help align supply chain strategy with business objectives while improving efficiency, scalability, and customer service.
This role requires a hands-on leader who can think strategically while remaining engaged in day-to-day execution. Leveraging data, analytics, ERP systems, and continuous improvement methodologies, the Director will identify opportunities to enhance supplier performance, improve inventory accuracy, mitigate risk, and optimize material flow across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the organization’s supply chain strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth plans
* Lead procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and supplier performance management
* Oversee demand planning, inventory management, material planning, and supply continuity
* Establish KPIs, governance, and reporting to improve supply chain visibility and accountability
* Manage inbound and outbound logistics while optimizing cost, service, and operational efficiency
* Partner with Quality to improve supplier quality and reduce supply chain risk
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across inventory, warehouse operations, logistics, and material flow
* Strengthen ERP/MRP utilization, data integrity, and reporting capabilities
* Analyze operational data to identify trends, solve complex problems, and improve decision-making
* Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to support organizational objectives
Ideal Candidate Profile
* 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
* Strong experience across procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier development
* Proven ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution
* Experience leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and performance improvement programs
* Strong analytical skills with advanced ERP/MRP and data analysis capabilities
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated success leading teams through growth, process improvements, and organizational change
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial and operational acumen

During the transition, the Chief Operating Officer has assumed responsibility for the supply chain function. Compensation Package
* Base Salary: $130,000 - $160,000
