This is a pivotal role within a values-driven, multi-site organization that operates diverse programs focused on community well-being, health and fitness, education, youth engagement, and social services.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee a portfolio of Vice Presidents leading major operational divisions, providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and alignment across a complex regional network. The successful candidate will ensure that programs remain innovative, financially sustainable, and deeply connected to the needs of the communities served.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced executive who thrives on leading through influence, collaboration, and strategic clarity — someone who can balance mission-driven purpose with operational precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all service divisions to ensure mission alignment and measurable impact.
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, performance goals, and sustainable results.
• Lead and mentor a team of Vice Presidents, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high engagement.
• Oversee operational and capital budgets, ensuring strong financial stewardship and continuous improvement.
• Champion excellence in program delivery, innovation, and risk management.
• Strengthen partnerships across government, corporate, and community sectors to broaden impact.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing organizational culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience within a multi-site, mission-driven, or community-based organization.
• Proven success leading diverse teams and large operating budgets, with the ability to manage complex service lines.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with a track record of organizational transformation or growth.
• Deep understanding of governance, compliance, and financial performance in the not-for-profit sector.
• High emotional intelligence, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborative, energetic, and values-driven — a leader who embodies empathy, accountability, and inclusion.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

• A high-impact executive role shaping the direction of one of Southwestern Ontario’s most trusted community organizations.
• Opportunity to lead across multiple service areas, influencing the health and well-being of thousands of individuals and families.
• Supportive, mission-aligned culture focused on professional growth and authentic leadership.
• Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, defined contribution pension, and meaningful work-life balance.
